Contribute Your Zakat & Donations
Your support this Ramadan makes a difference
Your generosity transforms lives. Explore the donation options below to support the needs of our migrant workers.
All recipients are eligible for zakat.
We are still accepting zakat and donations above our goal in order to help as many migrant workers and their families as possible. The more we raise, the more we can help. Please keep contributing! May Allah reward you.
Kami memohon sumbangan berterusan anda. Semoga Allah membalas kebaikan anda.
Campaign Information
The 9th year of #SGMuslims 4MigrantWorkers!
This year, we aim to raise at least $70,000 for Migrant Mutual Aid (MMA) inshaAllah:
FIRST $50,000 OF YOUR ZAKAT GOES TO:
Fund for Bereaved Families (FBF)
Dedicated MMA fund for bereaved families of Muslim migrant workers
Provides basic financial support so families have time to grieve and establish new sources of income to sustain themselves.
No other organisation runs a fund of this kind.
Standing Solidarity Fund (SSF)
Emergency MMA fund to finance urgent cases
Most commonly supports urgent medical needs, where high costs and critical timing makes fundraising infeasible.
Also covers emergencies like abrupt repatriation due to illness/injury, and support to escape abusive employers, etc.
$20,000 (AND ALL FURTHER FUNDS) WILL GO TO:
CritiCare Fund for Migrant Workers (CCF)
Specialised fund for outpatient treatment costs for migrant workers with critical illnesses
Ground-up initiative launched in December 2024.
First fund dedicated to workers with critical illnesses.
Disbursement decisions made by an independent Council comprising doctors, insurance professionals, employment agents and civil society reps.
MMA is a Council Member.
Zakat Eligibility and Endorsements
Muslim migrant workers and their families fall within not only one but several categories of beneficiaries (asnaf) eligible to receive zakat.
They are among those:
• poor (al-fuqarâ) or needy (al-masâkîn) (depending on their individual situation)
• trapped in debt (al-gharimin)
• Migrant workers are also wayfarers in a foreign land (ibnussabil)
These migrant workers are like our guests who spend their time in our homeland not to visit but to work and help us build this blessed nation. We should extend our compassion and generosity to them when they are in need."
Please consider giving your zakat to our Muslim migrant workers and read through the campaign to understand more about their plight.”
"The Compassionate One has mercy on those who are merciful. If you show mercy to those who are on the earth, He Who is in the heaven will show mercy to you." - Abu Dawud (Sahih)”
We can show this ihsan by contributing our zakat to the migrant workers who have helped us build our homes and country. Zakat has the transformational potential for justice in society.
May Allah and His Rasul grant ease and patience to all migrant workers and their families in their daily affairs."
"The ones who are merciful, the Most Merciful will have mercy with them. Have mercy with those on the earth, He who is in (the) heaven will have mercy with you", says our Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him.
This Ramadan, let's support these Muslim migrant workers."
Funds Raised
